Workshop European Battery Cell R&I: Setting short and medium-term priorities

On 11th and 12th January 2018, the European Commission, DG Research and Innovation, is organising a 2 days workshop on “European Battery Cell R&I: Setting short and medium-term priorities”.

In H2020 Work Programme 2018-2020 € 100 million is already allocated to fund battery research projects. At the same time, in the context of the EU Battery Alliance, additional € 100 million became available to fund further projects. Therefore, the objective of this workshop is to identify specific topics to be included in the H2020 Work Programme 2019 and 2020.
The workshop will gather wide range of stakeholders including research organisations, cell manufacturers, material suppliers, OEMs, battery pack/module suppliers and national organisations.

Outline of the workshop:
January 11 (afternoon) – Policy developments and technological state of the art presentations;
January 12 – In-depth discussions in break-out sessions covering four topics:

  1. Advanced Li-ion technologies (generation 3b)
  2. Next generation solid-state Li-ion technologies (generation 4)
  3. Technologies for stationary storage applications
  4. Research Pilot Line network

You will have to choose a break-out session appropriate to your expertise and affiliation when registering to the workshop.
