Webinar: Results and recommendations for the introduction of eco-driving schemes and green-driver assistance systems in European public transport fleets

Eco-driving is driving that optimises the use of energy and contributes significantly to emission reduction as promoted by the European Commission. Identifying and reducing inefficient driving habits and energy-wasting manoeuvres (e.g. harsh braking, needless accelerating) enables public transport operators to reduce both operating costs and emissions as well as to increase passenger safety. In this webinar the different technologies will be presented that were tested within the EBSF_2 project and opportunities for the further uptake will be identified through THE PEP partnership and the FUTURE RADAR project. The webinar will provide guidance to decision-makers, technicians and driving instructors of public transport operators that are planning to introduce eco-driving schemes in their cities. The webinar will be organised by Rupprecht Consult with speakers from Chalmers University and the Austrian Energy Agency.
